If you are interested in serving as an elected official, filing opens April 20, 2023 at 8:00 am! Currently the Mayor, (3) three City Council and the Municipal Judge positions are up for the 2023 City Election. Each position is a 4-year term. A person must live within the city limits of Whitefish at least 60 days preceding the election to serve as a Council member. A person must be 21 years of age, a resident of the state for at least 3 years, and a resident within the city limits of Whitefish for at least 2 years preceding the election to office to serve as Mayor. The Flathead County Election Department has provided instruction on how to file for an elected position.
